Inator: My IT Services Company
My college lacked a startup or tech culture, so it was tough to find anyone to start up with.
To learn and raise money for what I really wanted to do, I started a dev shop called Inator —an IT services company inspired by Dr. Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb.
I promised my smartest friends money (even when I had none) to motivate them, then secured clients to pay their salaries.
As a solo founder, I led a team of 20+ developers working on multiple projects in parallel, eventually leading the company to profitability.
Select projects we developed:
- A grocery delivery app in partnership with farmer groups to deliver 500+ orders daily.
- A micro-blogging and event management app for Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad—the largest student democracy body.
- A crane telemetry data logger and remote management system for a crane company.
- An app to reduce gas wastage from cylinders in food factories, optimizing cylinder changes based on real-time data from industrial weighing scales.
- A gym membership platform and e-commerce store for fitness products.
- A luxury handbags e-commerce site.
- A cricket data analytics app
